If you are suffering from chronic or acute pain, acupuncture may be just the answer you need. Shoulder, neck and back pain all respond extremely well to treatment. Treatment will be tailored to your individual circumstances and may include a combination of acupuncture, electroacupuncture,  moxa, cupping and massage, with or without therapeutic oils.

A lot of patients recently have been complaining of shoulder and neck pain due to muscle tension which can cause headaches if left untreated. Usually we use a combination of acupuncture and massage to help to relieve the pain and relax the muscles, therefore helping both the source of pain and associated headaches. Patients normally respond very well to treatment, and see an improvement after the first treatment, and may only need 3-4 treatments to see a lasting effect.

Chinese Cupping Therapy

Cupping is a treatment which involves the use of special glass cups to create a suction effect on the skin which helps to improve the blood circulation to the local area.

Cupping is a treatment which involves the use of special glass cups to create a suction effect on the skin which helps to improve the blood circulation to the local area.

The treatment feels like a very strong massage and helps to relieve muscle knots and tension, and eliminate toxins from the body. The treatment does leave a mark or bruise on the area treated but this only lasts for a few days.

Cupping is used for general relaxation and pain relief, for sports injuries and sprains, and for helping to detox.

Cupping treatment helps to:

  • Relieve pain
  • Improve lymph and blood circulation
  • Acts like a very strong massage to help relax tight muscles and remove muscle knots.
  • Is good for relaxation and pain relief
