Louise Hughes MATCM BSc (Hons) BM (Beijing) Dip Tuina has a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, including Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She has experience in both China and the UK, while in China she gained valuable experience in neurology, paediatrics, cardiology and respiratory diseases in the wards of some of the top hospitals in Beijing.
Louise’s fascination with acupuncture and Chinese Medicine began in 1998. She knew from a young age that she wanted to be involved in healthcare in some way, it was only when she was deciding what to do at University that she came across acupuncture and was instantly hooked. “I am still amazed at the miraculous results that people often get from acupuncture treatment” she says.
Louise is passionate about helping to improve the quality of life for those suffering from cancer. Her work at St Giles Hospice and Sutton Cancer Support Centre has helped her to gain valuable experience in this area. Louise is committed to furthering her knowledge of TCM, and regularly updates her knowledge by attending seminars and lectures.
Louise is fully registered and qualified and must at all times adhere to the high standards of practice set down by the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, of which she is a full member.
